Polyverse and Cloudical bring ground-breaking Polymorphing security to VanillaStack

Berlin, 18.11.2020Polyverse and Cloudical are excited to offer Polyverse Polymorphing as an optional, but integrated security layer for VanillaStack, Cloudical’s complete open source, cloud-native software stack.

“The combination of VanillaStack and Polymorphing provides a truly open and flexible platform for developers with built in protection against zero-day attacks” says Archis Gore, Polyverse CTO. “Developers shouldn’t have to spend time worrying about security. They shouldn’t have to change their processes or take a performance hit to meet security requirements. Cloudical and Polyverse have the same end goal – to fundamentally make things better for our customers.”

VanillaStack is Cloudical’s cloud-native stack based on Kubernetes. The stack can run on top of every Linux-distribution supporting containers, regardless of the underlying environment – be it hyperscalers, such as AWS, Azure or Google cloud, public cloud offerings, VM-based environments or traditional datacenters. It was developed with openness, security and trustworthiness in mind, and acts as the foundation of a complete open-source ecosystem

Polymorphing is a ground-breaking Moving Target Defense (MTD) technology that hardens open source Linux distributions by scrambling the code and creating a unique version of the operating system. This means that crafted exploits targeting specific memory vulnerabilities will not work, even when the system is left unpatched. With its ‘fire and forget’ installation, Polymorphing is especially suited to organizations that have been feeling increasing pressure on their workforce and financial resources. It is simple to setup and install, can be easily deployed across millions of devices, and supports existing patching processes, procedures and tooling.

“Polymorphing is a perfect fit for our VanillaStack as it fits our mission to provide developers with a truly open, but secure cloud-native platform that offers maximum choice and flexibility and allowing developers to just get on with writing better apps” says Jurlind Budurushi, Chief Cyber Security Officer, Cloudical.

Polymorphing for VanillaStack is available from Cloudical directly through their Apps store. The commercial distribution is available from Cloudical’s website at https://cloudical.io as well as the stack’s homepage at https://vanillastack.io.
